MY STORY - CONTINUED

I found fulfillment in volunteering as a camera operator and video director at my local church and that became a stepping stone to employment at Trinity Broadcasting Network. I directed live TV shows, mastered video editing, and skillfully operated the Jib Camera during my 5 years at TBN.

Continuing to forge ahead, I accepted the role of Lead Web Designer at my church, overseeing their entire online presence and also leading an incredible team of over 60 volunteers in live production as Video Director. This 15 year career experience taught me more than can be summed up here. It nurtured my leadership skills and deepened my expertise in design, web development and video directing, while also equipping me to engineer and build control rooms.

In 2014, I embarked on a journey to further enhance my expertise, taking on jobs as a freelance Video Director for prominent arena music tours. Since then my portfolio has grown extensively and led me to go completely freelance as a solo entrepreneur. I moved to Nashville in 2018 and have directed for well-known artists and bands such as Hillsong, Elevation Worship, Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, Jesus Culture, Sadie Robertson, We The Kingdom, and many others in the music industry. Additionally, I have diversified my career by working in the corporate sector as a Video Director and Production Manager, working with clients like Porsche, Pfizer, Sanofi, Pepsi, and others.  After over 20 years experience, I have the ability to troubleshoot most production needs during live events, I feel confident directing on any video switcher, I am well versed on all the professional camera packages and lenses, and feel very confident configuring and working with control room equipment.

Professionals used to say it’s not profitable to be a jack-of-all-trades. “Pick a craft and hone it” they say, but I disagree if you have an entrepreneurial spirit. I have spent the past 20+ years exploring and learning all aspects of media which now has given me the ability to see projects from a bigger, more holistic vantage point. Which, in turn, provides my clients with access to skills you would typically need to hire multiple agencies to acquire.

As my artistic journey progresses, I cherish every moment of service and learning experience in the realms of art and design. Driven by passion and commitment, I eagerly seek opportunities to contribute my creative talents, making a positive impact on the lives of others around me and continue to expand my creative horizons.
